Wednesday
In the morning we got some directions to our project work at school. Our group (Riikka, Sarah, Justus and Philipp) is a blogging-team. Then we had time to write this blog and we also played some snooker. After that there was an event at school. We had a great time together! We were outside looking when everybody were playing and then we had lunch. After that we were at the maths lesson. We went home and ate some potatoes, salmon, filled mushrooms and mustikkakukko!
At five o'clock we left to the Ladunmaja because we had a saunanight together. All group were there. Everybody got some food to everyone. We ate Finnish foods and had nice time together. After that the girls went to the sauna and stayed there for too long time... Boys didn't have enough time to go sauna but they were very excited about swimming in the lake. Some of the girls too! Almost everybody liked the sauna! The night was awesome together and the weather was good. :)

Tuesday. School, food and Amazing Race
Tuesday
It was completely different morning than usually. I woke up a bit earlier than usually. 6.30. First of all, we ate a breakfast by the way that our visitor eats it in Germany. Bread with Nutella, coffee, juice, croissants etc. We left to the school 7.30 and on the way I told my visitor about the city and the buildings that we passed.
At the school we had some kind of welcoming session and some games that was supposed to make us know each other better. While the Germans had a guide tour in our school, Finnish students went to their lessons. During our lessons, Germans also learned some Finnish language. Not very much, but at least, they can count to ten in Finnish.
After other people left from the school we started "Amazing Race" -race with the same idea that the TV-serie. We were supposed to find places in Jyväskylä and in every point there was a clue that leaded to the next point. Bad weather spoiled everything. It started to rain so heavily that nobody finished the race. At least Germans saw "the best side" of Finnish weather. After the race we went to restaurant to eat some food and we talked about different things. I had fun and I hope that everyone agrees with me

Travel day, Monday
Travel day, Monday
The day had started at 4 o'clock in the morning with get ready for our trip.
At 5 o'clock we met each other at Koblenz train station and after a nice train drive we arrived at Frankfurt airport.
At half past one we arrived in Helsinki and had our first impression of Finland.
Finally we arrived our target Jyväskylä after a very funny and noisy bus drive.
Than the big moment was coming and we met our hosts for the first time.
It was such a nice feeling to met our hosts and go home with them.
At I arrived at my home for the next five days I was so excited to meet my guest family.
After the first contact we went to a little sightseeing tour in Muurame where I got a little impression in the beautiful Finnish nature.
At the end of the day I'd play football with my three exchange brothers and went with a good feeling to bed.

The day started for me in the early morning at 3:45 am. At 5 o'clock we met each other at the train station in Koblenz to take together the train to Frankfurt. After about one and half hour we arrived at Frankfurt airport. Then we could "explore" the airport in little groups until our flight to Finland started. In the afternoon we arrived in Helsinki and then we drove by bus to Jyväskylä. But first we were at school waiting for our exchange students. I felt a bit nervous and excited when I got to know my host family. After I was picked up by them we went to the Prisma market to buy some food for this week. When we drove at home after getting to know the rest of the family. In the evening we walked with the neighbour's dogs to the black lake. I've never seen such a beautiful lake like that in Finland! I was really impressed by the nature and landscapes. Later we explored by car the places around Jyväskylä almost until midnight. It was very exciting.

Last day
Today is the last day! The time past sooo fast. Unfortunately. In the morning we went to school and just finished our projects. Now we got lunch and afterwards we'll have freetime. At 5 o'clock there will be a celebration again. Then we'll spend the last evening together. Tomorrow in the morning we have to leave again... 5:45 is the meeting. I hope we'll stay in contact!
Much history!
On Thursday we finns went to Trier which was founded by the Romans. We had a guided tour there. The guide was a nice old lady. The tour started from Porta Nigra. Then we headed to an old merchant's storage in cellar. We also saw the Judengasse. After that we heard about history of the dome and the other cathedrals. We finished our two hours tour in Kaiserthermen.
After the tour we boys went to a restaurant and the girls went shopping again. Then it was time to take the train back to Koblenz. We were picked up by the Germans from the central station. We went to Forum and ate something. Afterwards we took the funicular up to the fortress. We enjoyed the view, the sunset and of course spending time with great people.
18 years old teachers
We started the day with project works. At 10 o'clock we Finns had a reception at Koblenz city hall. Mr Knopp spoke, unfortunately mostly in german, for us how important the exchange program is. Local TV and newspaper interviewed some of us.
After lunch we went by bus to Sayn. There we started to climb. In this case "climb" means to get from one platform on a tree to another across an element like to swing on a robe. We had there about 3,5 hours to finish different courses.
In the evening there was a celebration for the 10th anniversary of this exchange program. In the beginning the concert band of Görres-Gymnasium played some well known songs and the german headteacher welcomed all in german AND in finnish, the pronunciation was pretty good. After a short break the finnish band Vend rocked Koblenz out! Everybody was standing and dancing, especially the teachers, who felt like 18 again.

Trip to Köln
Yesterday we Finns were in Köln. We left early in the morning by train. We arrived about half past nine and met our German guide. Then we had a tour in dome. The cathedral was very big and another guide told us interesting or not so interesting things about the dome. The tour was just ok.
After that we had free time. The girls went shopping and we boys went for coffees. After coffees also we boys went shopping. We also had a good lunch in a restaurant. We went to Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum in the afternoon. There we had a very interesting guided tour. The museum uses very modern technology. After the tour we had a little bit more free time and then we took the train to Koblenz. In the evening we had nice time at home. We just hanged around. We Germans had to go to school and most of us wrote an unexpected English test :( Today we are going to visit the "Kletterwald Bendorf-Sayn". There we can climb different parcours. Pictures will follow ^^
